homework-3 logos

HOMEWORK-LOGOS

One of my favourite logos is Ubisoft’s spiral icon. Not only does it use a unique set of colours but it also considers tone.

The main reason it reaches out to me is because Ubisoft studios tend to design fantasy and magic like games. Games such as Darksiders and the classic Rayman Trilogy. Although these genres of games are my favourite it’s the logos design that intrigues me more.

It looks to me like a magical sphere or orb, which shows the Fibonacci spiral clearly.

It is simple, uses secondary colours and portrays the genres of games the company itself focuses on.

This is another logo, which I am very fond of. It indicates super performance on a car and is known to the company Mercedes Benz.

The typography of this logo just portrays something big and important also quite sporty. The font also has 4 blocks, which are, quite slanted which I think are representing the direction of speed.

This on comes on two colours. Black and white. The company only uses these two colours on cars and is considered a very popular brand, which the crowd especially notices. Again it is simple and the pronunciation makes it vocally aesthetic.

Lastly, this is my favourite logo since it is such a known brand. Not only that but I wear it all the time. The clothing is excellent, ranging from shoes to fleeces.

The tick is quite ambiguous but I would have to interpret in this way: A tick representing direction on velocity. Since it was named after the Greek god of speed- Nike.

The fact this logo can be used in any colour or pattern and on countless clothing or products makes it unique and a powerful icon. I would really want to create something like this in terms of advertising my brand.
